This two day, interactive workshop equips participants with a set of tools immediately applicable in the workplace, taking you through each stage of the life cycle of a project. It is equally pertinent for seasoned project team members, those new to the discipline and others who are involved intermittently as required.

ACE Training, in association with our provider Project Plus will provide the high quality training. All Project Plus trainers are experienced, enthusiastic workshop leaders with an excellent understanding of all levels of project management and real-world project consultancy experiences.

This workshop is ideal for:

  • New Project Managers or Project Managers with no formal project management training
  • Managers and/or project team members wanting a background in project management
  • Anyone who wants to learn more about participative team-based methods for managing a project

There are no prerequisites for this course. However, an awareness of the project management environment would be beneficial.

By the end of the workshop, participants will have gained an understanding of key project success factors and typical pitfalls; techniques for managing critical stakeholder relationships; and have tools and tips for managing key stages of the project lifecycle. From this course, you will be able to apply fundamental project management techniques to your project and gain skills in directing the resources required to run a smooth project.

“A project is a temporary endeavour undertaken to create a unique product, service or result.” (Source: PMI PMBOK Guide)

“A project is a temporary organisation that is created for the purpose of delivering one or more business products according to an agreed Business Case.” (Source: PRINCE2 2009 Edition)

A project structure enables organisations to introduce change. While business as usual operations can and should seek to improve performance (through continual process improvement), it is not geared up to design, develop and deliver something new and unique: that’s where projects come into play.

The best project managers –and teams - are those who deliver their projects consistently on time and within budget, meeting or exceeding the expectations of the stakeholders. Effective project teams are able to perform consistently, blending a shared understanding of agreed methodologies and techniques with strong leadership and people skills.
