How to get the Version for your Software and Operational System

Microsoft

Check Microsoft Office 2003

You can check which version of the Microsoft Office 2003 or Office system program is installed on your computer, and you can determine the product ID number of your copy of the program. You can also get system information and perform a test of your network connection.

The following applies to Microsoft Office Access 2003, Excel 2003, FrontPage 2003, InfoPath 2003, OneNote 2003, Outlook 2003, PowerPoint 2003, Publisher 2003 and Word 2003:

1. On the Help menu, click About Microsoft Program Name.

Check Microsoft Office 2007

You can check which version of the Microsoft Office program is installed on your computer, and you can determine the product ID number of your copy of the program. You can also get information about your computer.

The following applies to Microsoft Office Access 2007, Excel 2007, PowerPoint 2007 and Word 2007:

1. Click the Microsoft Office Button, and then click Options.
2. Click Resources, and then click About.
3. To see information about your computer, click System Info.

The following applies to Microsoft Office InfoPath 2007, OneNote 2007, Outlook 2007, Project 2007, Publisher 2007, SharePoint Designer 2007 and Visio 2007:

1. On the Help menu, click Microsoft Office Help.
2. To see information about your computer, click System Info.

Check most Microsoft programs

These steps work for most Microsoft programs, including Microsoft Office software, and Internet Explorer and Outlook Express, both components of Windows:

1. Start the program.
2. On the Help menu, click About Program Name.

A dialog box displays program information, including the version number.

Check Windows 7

To determine which version of Microsoft Windows 7 you are running:

1. On the taskbar at the bottom of your screen, click Start.
2. In the search box type: winver and then press Enter.

A dialog box displays the version of Windows Vista that you are running.

Check Windows Vista

To determine which version of Microsoft Windows Vista you are running:

1. On the taskbar at the bottom of your screen, click Start.
2. In the search box type: winver and then press Enter.

A dialog box displays the version of Windows Vista that you are running.

Check Windows XP

To determine which version of Microsoft Windows you are running:

1. On the taskbar at the bottom of your screen, click Start, and then click Run.
2. In the Run dialog box, type: winver.
   NOTE: If you're using Windows Vista, type winver into the Search box.
3. Click OK.

A dialog box displays the version that you are running.

Adobe

Check all Adobe product versions

You can check which version of the Adobe programs installed on your computer, and you can determine the product ID number of your copy of the program.

The following applies to Adobe Indesign, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Acrobat, Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Flash:

1. On the Help menu, click About Adobe Program Name.

A dialog box displays the version that you are running.

Corel

Check all Corel product versions

You can check which version of the Adobe programs installed on your computer, and you can determine the product ID number of your copy of the program:

1. On the Help menu, click About CorelDraw.
