About this Course

This course is designed for anyone needing to enhance, manipulate or create images using the professional image-editing and graphics creation software Adobe Photoshop.

Our aim is to provide you with the necessary skills to use Photoshop to produce flyers, invites, posters and other high quality documents or to be able to take the completed image to a Desktop Publishing program, such as InDesign, to create booklets, manuals or other documentation. We will introduce many time-saving features using quick keys and short cuts.

Photoshop is an image adjustment program, used by magazines, publishers, advertising agencies and companies around the world to produce publications. Using Photoshop’s specialist tools, images can be altered to enhance the original to a professional degree.

It is important that you use your new skills as soon as possible on completion of this training course. We encourage you to take your own notes and to review this Course Guide once you are back at your workplace.

Prerequisites

Attendees must be familiar with topics covered in our Windows: Managing Files course and have been using a computer for a number of years. A good competency level in another graphics package is necessary.

At Course Completion

Adobe Photoshop is a sophisticated image editing software package that includes painting, editing and image composition. This course will give the user a thorough understanding of the tools, menus, layers and many image manipulation techniques.
